That's why our after-sales support is different. We're not a big chain with a call center miles away. We're right here in Mansfield, and we actually answer the phone! When you've got a question or something needs adjusting, you talk to the same people who designed and installed your kitchen - not some random customer service rep who's never seen your home.

Our mobile phones are always on. Emma handles most of the after-sales calls because she's brilliant with the details and remembers every kitchen we've ever done. Our clients from Sutton-in-Ashfield, Newark and even as far as Nottingham tell us this personal touch makes all the difference.

What Happens After We Install Your Kitchen

The first few weeks with your new kitchen are when you'll really start living with it. This is when you'll notice if anything needs tweaking.

One week after installation, we'll call you to check everything's working properly. It's not just a courtesy call - we really want to know if those cabinet doors need adjusting or if that drawer isn't closing right.

Here's what our after-installation support includes:

  • Settling-in adjustments - Doors and drawers might need slight adjustments after a few weeks of use. We'll pop back and sort these for free in the first 3 months.
  • Appliance teething problems - New ovens, hobs, and extract fans sometimes need a bit of guidance to use properly. We partner with experts like Andy (our electrician) and Nick (our gas safety guru) who can talk you through any issues over the phone or visit if needed.
  • Care advice - We'll show you how to look after your worktops, cabinets and appliances so they last for years. If you forget, just call us - we're happy to remind you!

A kitchen from Sutton-in-Ashfield had an issue with a cabinet door that wouldn't close properly after about 2 weeks. Instead of making them wait, Michael went the same day after finishing another job in Mansfield Woodhouse. Took him 5 minutes to adjust the hinge, but saved the customer weeks of annoyance.

Regular maintenance keeps your kitchen looking and working like new. Here's what we offer to keep your kitchen in tip-top condition:

Scheduled Check-Ups

We offer optional 6-month and annual check-ups where we'll:

  • Tighten any loose hinges or handles
  • Check and adjust drawer runners if needed
  • Make sure all appliances are working correctly
  • Inspect seals around sinks and worktops
  • Fix any minor issues on the spot

How We Solve Kitchen Problems

Sometimes things go wrong even with the best planning and installation. What matters is how quickly and effectively we solve these issues.

Our Problem-Solving Process:

  2. Assessment - For minor issues, we might be able to talk you through a fix over the phone. For anything more complicated, we'll arrange a visit. We try to book these within 48 hours.
  3. Fix it fast - Once we know what's wrong, we'll fix it as quickly as possible. Emergency issues (like water leaks) get same-day attention.
  4. Follow-up - After fixing any problem, we'll call you a few days later to make sure everything's still working properly.

We had a client in Newark who found their dishwasher wasn't draining properly two weeks after installation. Michael went out the next day, discovered the installer had accidentally left some packaging blocking the drain pipe, and fixed it in minutes. We then gave the client a free annual check-up as an apology for the oversight.

Spare Parts and Replacements

Kitchens get heavy use, and sometimes parts need replacing. We keep a stock of the most common items:

  • Appliances - Typically 1-2 years depending on the brand
  • Workmanship - Kudos guarantees all installation work for 2 years
  • Worktops - Depends on material (laminate 2 years, quartz/granite up to 25 years)
  • Taps and sinks - Usually 5 years for quality brands like Rangemaster

What if something goes wrong with my new kitchen?

First, don't panic! Almost every issue can be fixed quickly and easily.

Is kitchen installation guaranteed?

Yes, all our kitchen installations come with a 2-year workmanship guarantee. This covers:

  • Cabinet hanging and alignment
  • Worktop fitting and joint sealing
  • Appliance installation
  • Plumbing connections
  • Electrical connections (through our certified electrician Andy)
  • Gas connections (through our Gas Safe registered engineer Nick)

If any aspect of our installation work proves faulty, we'll fix it free of charge within the guarantee period.

A customer in Blidworth had a small but annoying drip from their sink waste about 3 months after installation. Even though it was just a case of tightening a connection that had worked loose, we treated it as a warranty issue and fixed it free of charge. That's just how we work.

How quickly should kitchen problems be fixed?

Kitchen problems disrupt your daily life, so they should be fixed as quickly as possible. Here's our response timeline:

  • Emergency issues (water leaks, gas problems, dangerous electrical faults) - Same day response
  • Functional problems (appliance not working, drawer broken) - Within 2-3 days
  • Minor adjustments (door alignment, loose handle) - Within 5-7 days

In practice, we're usually much quicker. Being a small company based right here in Mansfield means we can often pop round the same day or next day for most issues.
